In November 2024, the total volume of non-cash spending through TBC Bank’s channels increased by 21%, while the number of non-cash transactions rose by 13% compared to the same period in the previous year, according to a report published by TBC Capital.
The report also highlights that non-cash spending on groceries grew by 22% year-on-year in November, with the average spending per transaction amounting to GEL 16. During the same period, inflation for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased significantly to 3.1%.
Furthermore, non-cash spending in hotels through TBC Bank’s channels saw an annual growth rate of 42% in November. However, the average spending per transaction decreased to GEL 359, compared to the peak of GEL 414 observed in the previous month.
Finally, non-cash spending by non-residents through TBC Bank’s channels rose by 39% year-on-year in November.
