
Georgia is returning to the growing dynamics of air traffic. As the government report says, according to the summarized data of 2021, the flights have been restored by 85%, while a 43% rate of recovery of passenger flow is recorded.
According to the flights performed in the first 3 months of the current year, the flights were restored by 74% and the passenger flow by 67%.
Starting from June 2021, low-budget airlines entered the Georgian aviation market: Eurowings; Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and Air Arabia Abu Dhabi.
At the same time, this year, the following airlines started operating in the direction of Georgia: Condor, FLYONE Armenia, Iranian airline Varesh Airlines and Saudi Arabian airline flydeal.
During the summer navigation season, flights are operated by 36 airlines in 72 destinations across 31 countries, with a frequency of approximately 415-420 per week, which, according to the government, will have a positive impact on the passenger flow and the gradual restoration of tourism in the country.
