Russia exported 802 thousand tons of flour during the 2022-2023 agricultural season, which is 64% more than the previous season. Vladimir Petrichenko, general director of Prozerno analytical center "Зерно Сибири", announced this at the forum in Barnaul. This is a record figure since 2008, which may be repeated in the 2023-2024 season.
"Last season we exported more than 800 thousand tons of flour. We follow the same schedule as last season. Therefore, we may get 700-800 thousand tons", said Petrichenko.
According to Petrichenko, 24% of the total volume of flour exports in 2022-2023 will come from Iraq (the growth rate has almost doubled compared to last year), Georgia - 23%, China - increased from 4% to 8%, and Turkey, on the contrary, decreased from 8% up to 4%.
