
In 11 months of 2022, Georgia purchased products worth of $2.143 billion from Turkey. If we rely on the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to which, the country's exports reached a record level in 2022 and amounted to $254 billion, it turns out that 0.85% of these products were exported from Georgia. And after the full-year data on Georgia's imports will be compiled, this indicator may even exceed 1%.
In addition, it should be noted that the volume of imports made in Georgia in January-November 2022 amounted to 11.981 billion US dollars; 18% of the procuts were imported from Turkey.
