
Tornike Rizhvadze, the chairman of the government of Adjara, opened the adventure tourism pavilion within the framework of the ITB Berlin exhibition.
According to the press service of the government of Adjara, Rizhvadze addressed the international community and introduced the tourism and investment opportunities of Georgia and Adjara. He spoke about the growing dynamics of tourism both in Adjara and in Georgia and noted that ITB Berlin is the best platform for Georgia to present its identity and uniqueness. Tornike Rizhvadze highlighted last year's double-digit economic growth and the dynamics of tourism recovery after the pandemic. According to him, the expectations for 2023 are even more ambitious and positive, both regarding the growth of tourist flows and the economy.
ITB Berlin 2023 was solemnly opened with a Georgian gala concert. Georgia is the host country at the Berlin International Tourism Exhibition. At the world's largest tourism event, Georgia introduces guests from 180 countries to our culture and tourism potential.
At the Berlin tourist exhibition, the National Tourism Administration of Georgia is represented together with the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara, the Tbilisi City Hall, the tourist associations and the Destination Management Organizations (DMOs).
