The Israeli airline Arkia is adding a new destination in Georgia and will perform multiple charter flights from Eilat to Batumi and vice versa.
Flights between Eilat and Batumi will be carried out from August 7 through August 29, two times a week, every Monday and Friday. The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili positively evaluates this decision and notes that the addition of a new direction from Israel will contribute to the growth of tourist flows from this country to Georgia, especially during the current summer season.
"Israel is a particularly important tourist market, which is growing. We are actively working to attract more tourists from Israel," – the Deputy Minister said.
The Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has already granted permission to the airline to operate in the mentioned directions.
