
Masatsugu Asakawa, the President of the Asian Development Bank, arrived in Georgia, on his first official visit to the country, to participate in the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Forum.
,,The visiting official was welcomed by Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze and Deputy Economy Minister Genadi Arveladze," - the Finance Ministry of Georgia said.
In his social media post, Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili said he was delighted to greet and welcome Asakawa to the country.
Masatsugu Asakawa will address the CAREC Forum, hosted in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, and will meet with the members of the Government’s economic team.
As part of his visit to the country, the ADB President will get acquainted with the organizational work of the 57th annual meeting of the ADB, scheduled to take place in Tbilisi between May 2 and 5, 2024.
