The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has disbursed GEL 68.2 million to Georgia under the "Modern Skills for Better Jobs" programme—marking the country’s first-ever sovereign loan in its national currency.

According to the Ministry of Finance, this milestone supports both structural reforms and public financial management, aligning with Georgia’s strategy to strengthen economic resilience through a balanced mix of domestic and foreign currency debt. The programme also aims to enhance vocational education and institutional capacity.
