Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia Natia Turnava met with the representative of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) Arturo Bris.
According to the National Bank of Georgia, the prospects of future cooperation and the opportunities that will result from Georgia's inclusion in this index were discussed at the introductory meeting.
As mentioned at the meeting, the Institute's interest towards Georgia is due to the correct positioning of the country in the international arena and the leading positions in other authoritative ratings. In the new rating, Georgia will be evaluated by its infrastructural, institutional and economic environment.
"It is welcome that such an authoritative international institution as IMD is interested in cooperation with us. We will be happy if Georgia is evaluated according to the World Competitiveness Ranking as well as other authoritative ratings. Their desire to cooperate with us is due to the openness and transparency of the National Bank of Georgia and proper and sustainable functioning of the entire financial system of Georgia", - the Acting President of the National Bank said after the meeting.
To be reminded, the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), founded 75 years ago, publishes the World Competitiveness Ranking every year according to various criteria.
