
"We have very positive growth dynamics in terms of international travelers, as well as international tourists, aviation industry and tourism revenues. It is very important to note that in 2021 the share of tourists directly increased significantly and reached 83%. This is the result of the regulations that we have established in Georgia to international tourism in full compliance with security. We have made the right emphasis on the most in-demand and competitive tourism product, and most importantly, we have launched an active marketing campaign in the target markets, through the leading international platforms, as well as international media and bloggers,” - said Medea Janiashvili.
According to the Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration, in 2022 the Administration will actively continue campaigns and projects to attract tourists and increase revenue.
2021 was distinguished in terms of the rapid restoration of international tourism in Georgia. Georgia received $ 1,244,941,717 billion in the international travel revenue in 2021. The dynamics of recovery from revenues from international tourism is moving at a faster pace every month compared to 2019.
