According to preliminary estimates, in July 2022, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the growth rate of the real gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 9.7%, and the average figure for the first seven months of 2022 was set at 10.3%.
The data published by the National Statistical Office of Georgia (Geostat) showed that in July 2022, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the following sectors made a significant contribution to the economic growth: transportation and warehousing, construction, information and communication, mining industry, trade.
A downward trend was observed in the processing industry.
