“A very important and historic project is ahead of us, which means that our country will have a new international airport with a very large and impressive infrastructure, - said the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
"We are considering two main directions, one is the possible development of the existing airport, and we have already finished working on the development plan. On the other hand, we have already started exploring Vaziani as an alternative new location. We are currently in the process of technical studies in order for the Georgian government to make an appropriate decision on how the development of the Tbilisi International Airport is better for the country and what we want to achieve. We want to get an airport that will respond to the demands of international and domestic travelers, will be a transit and logistics hub, and we will be able to develop such aviation services as cargo direction and others," - Mariam Kvrivishvili stated.
