Eight members of Giorgi Gakharia’s party, including Tamar Khvedeliani and Giorgi Sharashidze, have reportedly applied to enter Parliament, potentially ending their political boycott. They are set to replace suspended MPs, with preparations underway to meet entry requirements.
Parliamentary procedural committee chair Davit Matikashvili noted Gakharia admitted the boycott was a mistake, citing external pressures on the opposition. However, Giorgi Sharashidze denied any official move to end the boycott, stating decisions will follow the October 4 elections.
Earlier, Parliament recognized 12 party members as replacements, with Gakharia leaving open the possibility of rejoining Parliament.
