55% of onions are imported into Georgia from Russia

In January and February 2023, 6,474 tons of onions worth 2.4 million US dollars were imported into Georgia.
The largest amount of 3,547 tons of onions worth 1.3 million USD was imported from Russia, which is 55% of the total import.
Onions were also imported from the following countries:
Azerbaijan - 1,869 tons worth 703.6 thousand US dollars;
Turkey - 953.3 tons worth 376.6 thousand US dollars.
