"Our objective is to elevate the country's economy to 130 billion GEL within four years. Consequently, the national budget will also experience a significant increase," stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a government meeting.
He further elaborated, "If the budget for the previous year amounted to 28 billion GEL, in four years, we project it will exceed 40 billion GEL. Additionally, 200,000 new jobs will be created, reducing unemployment to below 4 percent. We have ambitious plans for the construction and expansion of airports, the Anaklia project, railway modernization, and the Black Sea cable project. We also aim to increase electricity generation to over 8,000 megawatts within four years. A substantial investment will be directed toward the development of school, higher, and vocational education."
The Prime Minister also addressed the issue of education, stating, "The importance of patriotism, patriotic education, and national identity awareness has been insufficiently emphasized in the national curriculum, which has unfortunately led to adverse outcomes. However, it is not too late to rectify this, and we will ensure proper attention is given to the education and upbringing of our children and students. It is essential to depoliticize schools. In four years, we anticipate a significantly improved environment for our students, accompanied by a marked enhancement in the quality of education."
