“In order to promote the distribution and introduction of electric cars in the country, the Tbilisi City Hall installed 20 electric vehicle chargers in the direction of Western Georgia,” - the Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze spoke about this at the meeting of the municipal government.
"At 80 locations in Tbilisi, owners of electric cars can charge their cars for free. Also, we decided to go beyond the borders of the capital and implement a good project. 20 electric chargers have already been installed and are functioning at four locations. In particular, on the Terjola-Zestafoni section of the high-speed highway, there are two stations with six chargers on both sides of the road; One station with one charger in the vicinity of Gori, in the western direction of the expressway; another station, with four chargers, on the highway of the city of Borjomi, in the direction of Borjomi-Bakuriani-Akhaltsikhe. We implemented this project together with Wissol Group,” - said Kakha Kaladze.
According to the Mayor of the capital, it is planned to arrange fast charging stations in Tbilisi.
"We are going to implement the project of arranging fast chargers in Tbilisi. Like gas stations, there will be a space with modern infrastructure, where fast electric chargers will be placed," Kakha Kaladze said.
