As the IBSU Rector, Saffet Bayraktutan, stated, while opening the conference, the International Black Sea University was pleased to host the 16th International Silk Road Conference, which, despite the pandemic, was still held online.
"It is gratifying that the conference is so representative this year as well, and its content is so diverse and interesting. I hope we will host the conference in Tbilisi next year in the usual mode,"- the Rector of the IBSU said.
The keynote speaker for the conference, Frank Grimm, a professor at the University of Zwickau (Germany), made a presentation on software systems development. As he pointed out, it is very important that the creators of non-software systems, including scientists and representatives of the education sector, know more about software development, as modern technologies and software development provide many opportunities for the education sector.
The 16th International Silk Road Conference was held online on October 14-15.
