15.2 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported from Georgia from August 1 through December 5

“From August 1 through December 5, 2021, 15.2 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported from Georgia, the value of which amounted to 69.8 million US dollars,” - the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reports.

Reportedly, compared to the same period last year, the volume of the exported hazelnuts increased by 3.6 thousand tons (31%), while the value increased by 7.3 million USD (12%).

The Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to the EU markets - Italy (6,135 tons), Germany (2,904 tons), Spain (446 tons), the Czech Republic (445 tons), Poland (337 tons), Lithuania (284 tons), France (239 tons) ), Bulgaria (132 tonnes), Greece (71 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Estonia (60 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).

The Georgian hazelnuts are exported to: Armenia (964 tons), China (780 tons), Ukraine (256 tons), Russia (337 tons), Algeria (241 tons), Saudi Arabia (208 tons), Belarus (206 tons), Iraq ( 168 tons), Switzerland (151 tons), Mexico (120 tons), Canada (95 tons), Azerbaijan (82 tons), Argentina (77 tons), the United Arab Emirates (61 tons), Kazakhstan (45 tons), Turkey ( 44), Uzbekistan (44 tonnes), the United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (22 tonnes), Tunisia (15 tonnes), Jordan (14 tonnes).
