According to Otar Shamugia, during the last 10 years, the amount of processed grapes increased from 50,000 tons to 260,000 tons, and the income of winegrowers increased from 35 million GEL to 270 million GEL. 
"If 10 years ago the export was 20 million liters, this year we expect to export about 120 million liters of wine. In total, the export revenue from wine and spirits will be $400 million. the government's goal is that by 2030, Georgia will receive $1 billion from the export of wine and spirits," - the Minister said at a briefing after the government meeting.
