
In January-July 2022, the share of the ten largest trading partner countries in the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 68.8%. The largest trading partners of the country are: Turkey ($ 1,521.2 million), Russia ($ 1,214.0 million) and China ($ 1,094.6 million).
In addition, according to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in January-July 2022, copper ores and concentrates took the first place in the ten export commodity groups with $621.0 million, which is 20.0% of all exports. Passenger cars ranked 2nd with $370.8 million (12.0% of the total exports), and ferroalloys ranked 3rd with $354.3 million (11.4%).
The largest import commodity group in January-July 2022 was presented in the form of light vehicles, the import of which amounted to $759.7 million (10.7% of all imports). Oil and oil products ranked 2nd with $718.8 million (10.1% of all imports), while copper ores and concentrates ranked 3rd with $490.9 million (6.9% of all imports).
