
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the upgrowth is due to an increase in all three components of foreign direct investment (joint stock, reinvestment and debt liabilities). In 2021, the share of reinvestment amounted to 66% of total foreign direct investment.
“The largest volume of foreign direct investment was made in the financial sector amounting to 443.3 million USD, which is 38.5 percent of total foreign direct investment. The second place is occupied by the entertainment, leisure and other services sector with 230.5 million USD, and the third – by the energy sector, with 157 million USD.
