Badagoni Wine Company is ready to participate in the program to launch the Shuamta Gate Welcome Center in the near future, develop and facilitate the operation of the Qvevri School, which is partnered with USAID in terms of economic security. Shuamta Gate Welcome Center and Ikalto Qvevri School will serve the visitors as connecting points of Alaverdi Heritage Trail.

The parties agreed on a partnership to increase the economic potential of the Kakheti region, develop Alaverdi's heritage as a unique tourist destination, combining three distinctive historical monuments: Shuamta, Ikalto and Alaverdi.

The Head of the USAID Economic Security Program, Mark McCord, is confident that Alaverdi will become a major tourist attraction in Kakheti.

According to Giorgi Salakaia, the founder of the company Badagoni, the company takes responsibility for the management and rehabilitation of two important facilities.

“The company Badagoni has undertaken the management of these two important facilities and the rehabilitation works in the Qvevri school. This was preceded by a great deal of work done by the state in specific areas. In particular, these buildings were built with the funding of the World Bank, but there was a significant problem of who was to manage this or that object. To do this, the first step was taken by the American Development Fund in terms of economic security, and in the coming days, an agreement will be signed, after which we will begin the rehabilitation of these facilities. We are planning to fully load them in the summer," - said Giorgi Salakaia.

Metropolitan Abba Alaverdeli stated that with this memorandum and with the help of Badagoni and USAID, the projects of the Shuamta Information Gate and the Qvevri School Academy will be developed, which will help employ locals and improve their economic potential. 

The signatories of the memorandum are convinced that their partnership will help preserve the historical heritage and spiritual value of Alaverdi by creating and managing the Alaverdi heritage, which combines the most important and historic sites of Kakheti under the concept of one brand and management as a unique tourist destination.

It should be noted that within the framework of cooperation with the "Partnership Fund", the company Badagoni will provide technical implementation of the project and develop an investment plan. The memorandum with the "Partnership Fund" was signed a few months ago.
