The Georgian wine has already gained a place in Ukraine, Poland and Eastern European countries; it is exported to the United States of America and China, which speaks of the quality of the Georgian wine.
Gogi Salakaia, the founder of the Badagoni wine company, has pointed out in a conversation with BMG that the chaotic cultivation of non-certified seedlings in vineyards creates a big problem with regard to quality.
“The wine quality is determined by the vine and vineyard and, accordingly, the grapes obtained from them, since the condition the raw material is brought to totally characterizes the quality of the wine. Therefore, more attention must be paid to the winegrowing development. The chaotic cultivation of non-certified seedlings in vineyards creates a big problem with regard to quality. Accordingly, as you know, annually, the National Wine Agency of Georgia makes use of its administrative means in this regard, but I would still support the idea of allocating as many resources as possible to develop vineyards,” - Salakaia said.
