"I would like to remind the President of Georgia, who as usual is guided in her judgments and assessments by national mythology and not by reality and common sense, that the Republic of Abkhazia is a free country that independently determines its destiny, directions of development and national interests", - the so-called opposition leader of Abkhazia Adgur Ardzinba, said. 

According to him, the Abkhazian people are absolutely united in the most important, so-called in the "Basic Provisions of the Constitution", according to which "the Republic of Abkhazia is a sovereign state, historically formed by the right of free self-determination of the people".

"In this regard, it is unclear who and for what Ms. Zurabishvili is in solidarity with, with whom we clearly have different views not only on the present and future of the motherland, but also on life in the country, politics and, probably, morality. Also, we would like to emphasize once again that our actions are not anti-Russian in nature. Any statement on this topic, no matter who it comes from, is 100% lies and provocation. The course towards alliance and strategic partnership with Russia remains unshakable, as well as fraternal relations and mutual assistance between our peoples," Ardzinba stated. 

According to him, the opposition of Abkhazia "wages an internal political struggle only based on the interests of the multinational people of Abkhazia".

"But we don't know whose interests Salome Zurabishvili is expressing and, to be honest, we are not very interested in it. We have a lot of work ahead of us to restore order on our land, and for that we really don't need the solidarity of any political figure on the other side of Enguri," Ardzinba said.
