“The visit by American businesses bolsters U.S.-Georgia cooperation across critical sectors such as infrastructure, digital trade, emerging technologies, transportation, and logistics,” the U.S. Embassy in Georgia stated on its social media platform.
This visit underscores the United States’ unwavering commitment to deepening economic ties and strengthening regional connections.
“During this week, Chargé d’Affaires Alan Purcell hosted a delegation of American business leaders alongside Georgian business and government representatives. The delegation travelled through Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan to explore opportunities within the Middle Corridor region, focusing on trade, energy, infrastructure, and logistics. The visit was organised in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S.-Georgia Business Council (UGBC), the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan. Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the delegation over dinner and attended a reception in their honour.
The presence of U.S. businesses in the region further solidifies the partnership between the United States and Georgia, advancing cooperation in vital sectors and reaffirming the U.S. commitment to fostering economic growth and regional stability,” the US Embassy remarked.
