Veysal Tipioğlu, Chair of the Security and Intelligence Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, led a delegation on a working visit to Georgia, including a stop at the occupation line near the village of Odzisi.

The group was accompanied by Gia Benashvili, Deputy Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee, who briefed them on Russian occupation activities in the region and Georgia’s peace-oriented approach. He stressed the need for increased international pressure on Russia to comply with the ceasefire agreement and international law.

During the visit, the Turkish delegation also held meetings with Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Defense and Security Committee Chair Aleksandre Tabatadze.
