“Badagoni, as the deity of fertility and Georgian wine, the ancestor of Bacchus and the inspiration of Donato Lanati", - a famous Italian daily publication "La Stampa" writes, which dedicates an extensive article to the Italian oenologist, Donato Lanati.

Speaking about the Georgian wine, Donato Lanati says that Badagoni is the deity of fertility and Georgian wine, and its statue was found in Georgia during archaeological excavations; the statue dates back to the 8th and 6th centuries BC.

Donato Lanati refers to it [Badagoni] as the ancestor of Bacchus and adds that the Georgian deity of fertility and wine, a copy of which stands in the Badagoni winery, became his source of inspiration. 

It should be noted that one of the world's best oenologists has been actively involved in the promotion of the Georgian wine for years. Donato Lanatti is the creator of some of the best branded wines and has been the chief oenologist of Badagoni company for many years.
