The National Environment Agency (NEA) has issued a warning over deteriorating weather conditions across the country. The agency forecasts heavy snowfall, dense fog, strong winds, and blizzard conditions in mountainous areas. In addition, storms with a magnitude of 3–4 are expected in the Black Sea region from December 31 through January 3.

The NEA cautioned that heavy snow, reduced visibility, blizzards, icy conditions, and avalanche risks could lead to temporary travel restrictions on certain highways. The agency also noted that anticipated precipitation may cause swelling of small rivers and trigger or intensify landslide activity in high-altitude areas, with the threat level assessed as medium.
