Georgia’s Justice Minister Paata Salia met with ICC Deputy Prosecutor Najat Shameem Khan in The Hague to discuss cooperation on the Court’s investigation into the 2008 Russia-Georgia war.

The meeting focused on enforcing ICC decisions, including arrest warrants, and emphasized the importance of protecting victims’ rights. Both sides highlighted the need for transparent collaboration under the Rome Statute.

They also discussed the recent ECHR ruling in Georgia v. Russia (IV), which awarded over €253 million to more than 29,000 victims of the conflict.
