The Georgian Parliament has adopted the Draft Law on the Fight Against Corruption in its third reading, with 85 votes in favor, the legislature announced.
The bill was presented by Archil Gorduladze, Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee.
According to Gorduladze, the amendments stipulate that former officials convicted of financial or official misconduct must submit financial declarations for a period of 30 years following the enforcement of their court judgment.
“This is yet another important measure aimed at preventing corruption-related offenses,” Gorduladze stated during the session.
