The phrases “gender” and “gender identity” are set to be eliminated from Georgian legislation.

To execute the necessary adjustments, the name of the Law “On Gender Equality” will be changed to the Law “On Equality Between Women and Men”.

According to the changes, the entry “gender issues” will be replaced with “issues of equality between women and men”, the term “gender intolerance” will be replaced with “intolerance of equality between women and men”, and the words “gender-sensitive” in the law will be replaced with the words “sensitive to gender”.
