"Demand for Badagoni wine has increased in Georgia's all trading partners by exports - 35 countries, totally. It was a particularly important year in the direction of Europe; I would single out the Polish market. In 2023, the Asian and the US markets were also a priority for the company. We have increased the export quantities and strengthened our market positions in China, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain," - Mari Giorgadze said, noting that it is premature to consider the exact export volumes, as the company has not yet summarized the export results.
When asked - what does the Georgian winemaking need for further development? - the General Director of the Badagoni wine company answered:
"It is very important to work in the direction of increasing the awareness of Georgian wine in cooperation with the government and increase the sales of high-quality Georgian wine both in the local and international markets," - Mari Giorgadze explained.
To be informed, the Badagoni wine company has already processed 8000 tons of grapes. The company owns 400 hectares of vineyards in Kakheti region. The Badagoni wine company produces about 12 million bottles of wine annually.
