Badagon wins again! Badagoni wines - Saperavi Reserve 2010 and Kakhetian Noble Dry Red became the winners of the gold medal.
At the one of the most prestigious international wine competitions in the world, the Frankfurt International Trophy, which was held in Frankfurt, Germany, Badagoni Saperavi Reserve and Badagoni Kakhetian Noble Dry Red were awarded with gold medals.
The Frankfurt International Trophy has been held for the 7th year and more than 17,000 wines from all over the world have participated in the competition.
Saperavi Reserve 2010 is produced in a limited numbers, from the best harvest of 2010 year, from Badagoni vineyards grown near Alaverdi Monastery. The period of aging in the bottle is 12 months.
Kakhetian Noble Dry Red is made from the 2013 harvest of Saperavi grape. The power and potential of the Saperavi variety is uniquely felt in it.
"Saperavi has a strong identity, like no other wine in the world. The wine made from Saperavi is exceptionally velvety, has an intense ruby color, a charming aroma of red fruits and spices, a long and balanced finish. While tasting this perfect expression of nature, it is impossible not to feel very lucky.
Such an important wine can only be the result of exceptionally well-kept vineyards and consistent, intelligent winemaking." - says the chief oenologist of Badagoni, Dr. Donato Lanati
