
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, together with their spouses, arrived at the Alaverdi Monastery, where they visited the 11th century cellar discovered during the archaeological excavations in Alaverdi.
In the name of the Prime Ministers of Hungary and Georgia, Badagoni wine company made the qvevri wine from one of the Georgian grape varieties, Saperavi, in Alaverdi using the ancient technology.

Badagoni wine barrels named after the Prime Ministers are located in the Alaverdi Monastery. The names of Irakli Gharibashvili and Viktor Orbán are written on the wine barrels.
Badagoni wine company restored the 11th century wine cellar discovered in the Alaverdi Monastery. Following the ancient traditions, qvevri wine Saperavi is made in this cellar. The Prime Ministers also tasted the qvevri wine made using the ancient technology in the same cellar.
The Prime Ministers, together with their spouses, visited the monastery complex and viewed the exhibits discovered during the archaeological excavations. Abba Alaverdeli Metropolitan David hosted the guests.
