The Italian company Della Toffola specially made the grape processing system for Badagoni; the management of Badagoni and the Director of the winemaking department, chief technologist Sandro Kumsiashvili were involved in the construction works.

As Mari Giorgadze, General Director of Badagoni mentioned in a conversation with SpaceNews, the Italian grape processing compress Della Toffola gives the opportunity to process 60 tons of grapes per hour.

"Badagoni, as a leading company, strengthens its positions and increases its production capacity by 25 percent. Della Toffola processes 60 tons of grapes per hour. Nowadays, this compress is one of the most powerful worldwide, and in the Caucasus. With its throughput, the company plans to increase its production and efficiency intensively, which will further strengthen the positions of Badagoni as a leading company in the domestic and export winemaking market", saidMari Giorgadze.

According to Mari Giorgadze, the increase in the company’s capacity and productivity was due to the growing demand for Badagoni wines in the international market.

"Worldwide, the awareness and demand for Badagoni wines has greatly increased. This has led to a considerable investment in the company and an increase in production capacity by 25%. The latest technology machinery will allow us to process even more grapes and increase the production capacity and sale of wine,” - Mari Giorgadze said.

In addition, the company is equipped with an ultra-modern, high-tech laboratory, which allows intensive quality control of grapes and wine.

It should be noted that, according to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), Badagoni is still the undisputed leader among the Georgian wine companies in terms of the amount of wine sold in the European Union market.

Badagoni is also the first Georgian wine company that started the production of Kosher Wine and has exported this sort of wine to Israel this year.
