Badagoni Wine Company plans to invest 14 million GEL in the construction of the hotel.

32 rooms of the hotel will allow Alaverdi Resort to receive 8-10 thousand visitors a year. It will employ 80 people, most of whom will be locals. Alaverdi Resort services are designed for both international visitors and Georgian citizens. The hotel will include a swimming pool, bars and a restaurant.

Alaverdi St. George Monastery Complex - home to one of the world’s oldest functioning pitcher wine cellars and an antiquities museum - is located within a 200-meter radius of Alaverdi Resort. Here is the Alaverdi floodplain and the center of the Georgian wine and Georgian dishes of "Badagoni". 

The author of Alaverdi Resort Hotel’s project is a Georgian architect Zviad Surguladze.

The event, which was held in Alaverdi, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, Deputy State Representative of Kakheti, Platon Kalmakhelidze, Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality, Alex Pitskhelauri, Telavi Municipality Mayor, Levan Andriashvili, members of Parliament: Irakli Kadagishvili, Davit Songhulashvili and other officials. 

Deputy Prime Minister, Levan Davitashvili, and the founder of "Badagoni", Gogi Salakaia, inserted a symbolic capsule at the construction site, thus laying the foundation for the construction of the hotel - Alaverdi Resort.

Gogi Salakaia, the founder of "Badagoni", calls the implementation of this project in Alaverdi an important event and says that it is a consistent continuation of the 16-year relationship between the Diocese of Badagoni and Alaverdi, which will bring many benefits to the country. 

Construction of the premium class hotel Alaverdi Resort will begin in February 2022, while it is scheduled to come into operation by August 2023.
