The 124th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM), held in the village of Ergneti in Gori municipality, reviewed significant incidents that have occurred since the last session, both in the occupied region and along the occupation line.
The State Security Service of Georgia emphasized its firm stance on the issue, reiterating demands for accountability in the murder of Tamaz Ginturi, urging that those responsible be punished.
Georgia's central government representatives raised concerns about the ongoing illegal detention of individuals and strongly condemned the practice of so-called "borderization" along the occupation line.
The meeting also addressed the pressing humanitarian challenges faced by the local population near the occupation line, including restrictions on freedom of movement, and explored potential solutions to these issues.
The participants agreed to reconvene for the next IPRM meeting on June 11, 2025.
