The award ceremony was held in the wine bar-restaurant Si Certo, where Beka Gochiashvili performed various compositions for the guests gathered there.

Tamar Jojua, the spouse of the founder of Badagoni, Giorgi Salakaia, personally handed the Gia Kancheli award, including GEL 10 thousand, over to Beka Gochiashvili. 

Beka Gochiashvili received the award unexpectedly. He thanked Badagoni for standing by Georgian culture and musicians. 

The Badagoni wine company has been giving the award named after Gia Kancheli to talented Georgian musicians for many years.
The Gia Kancheli Award was established by the Badagoni wine company together with Maestro Gia Kancheli in 2014, and since then, such excellent musicians as Nato Metonidze, Papuna Sharikadze, Levan Deisadze, The Georgian Six, Mikheil Kilosanidze, Giorgi Kiknadze and others, have become laureates of the annual award. 

In 2022, the award [GEL 10 thousand] established by Badagoni was given to the singer Nato Metonidze.
